Military
The United States Armed Services offer multiple branches, and multiple pathways within those branches. Depending on interests and skills, students can apply to enlist directly into the service following graduation or apply for admission to a military academy.
Students interested in a military career will take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) exam offered at Bear Creek High School.
Why Would I Attend a Military Academy?
Students who attend a military academy will complete their four-year bachelor’s degree while simultaneously earning a higher rank as an officer than if they enlisted following the bachelor’s degree.
Students who have an interest in applying to a selective military academy should speak to their school counselor early in their high school career, specifically about course selection and the timeline of the application process.
