Jeffco science classrooms engage students in relevant phenomena-based and collaborative learning experiences facilitated by teachers who value collective sense-making, so that all students graduate science literate and empowered to empowered to critically analyze the world around them.
Science at Bear Creek
The Bear Creek Science Department offers courses in earth science, biology, chemistry and physics. Incoming freshmen who are advanced in math can choose to take Honors Biology and then move on to Honors Chemistry as sophomores.
BCHS is proud to offer a variety of STEM courses, with our Pre-Engineering program, process technology courses and our biomedical science offerings. Our science program provides students many opportunities to explore science up close including hands-on projects, field trips and even a human cadaver dissection in anatomy and physiology.
