The Bear Creek High School Choir has a long-standing tradition of excellence dating back many years. The members of Bear Creek's choirs are committed to the highest levels of music-making and performance. We are proud to share our music with our school and community!

Brady Loyd serves as the vocal music teacher at Bear Creek High School. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Colorado Christian University and a Master of Music in conducting from the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver.

About the Choirs

We have five different choirs at Bear Creek. Treble Ensemble and Tenor/Bass Ensemble are non-auditioned choirs – anyone can join! Concert Choir, Onyx and Sounds are intermediate or advanced ensembles that require an audition to participate.

Choir students participate in exciting opportunities throughout the year. In addition to concerts at the school, students prepare and perform Val-o-Grams, travel to festivals, sing in all-county and All-State Choirs and take part in other outside performing opportunities.

In previous years, we sang the national anthem at a Nuggets game and performed combined concerts with ensembles such as St. Martin’s Chamber Choir, the MSU Denver Chorale and the Colorado Repertory Singers. We have had the privilege of performing “The Nutcracker” with the Colorado Ballet the past few years.

In choir, you’ll learn to sing with greater skill and confidence in a variety of styles and genres. Our final concert of every year is a pops concert consisting of modern music. We learn to sing well in any style you can imagine. I hope you'll join us!
